Information collected automatically
Oral Compass uses Google Analytics 4 to understand site traffic and improve educational content.
Its standard implementation can collect usage and session statistics, approximate location, and
browser and device information. Google Analytics may store a client identifier in a first-party
cookie named _ga.
The site's hosting and security providers may also process standard technical request information needed to deliver and protect the website.
Information you choose to send
If you email Oral Compass, the message, email address, and information you include are used to respond, evaluate corrections, maintain appropriate records, and protect the site. The contact inbox is not a clinical service. Do not send medical records, emergency requests, or sensitive personal health information.
Current site features
Oral Compass currently has no user accounts, comments, payments, advertising, or newsletter signup. Oral Compass does not sell personal information.
Service providers and retention
Google Analytics and the site's hosting and email-forwarding providers process information for the purposes described above. Information is retained according to configured provider settings and only as long as reasonably needed for analytics, correspondence, security, and legal obligations.
Your choices
Browser controls can limit or clear cookies. Google also provides a Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Some site measurements may be unavailable after blocking analytics.
Children's privacy
This site provides information for adults and families but is not intended to collect personal information directly from children. A parent or guardian should contact Oral Compass on a child's behalf.
